Welcome to my author website. I write personal essays about my childhood, my family, and experiences that remind me to stop taking myself so seriously. My Italian heritage inspires many of my stories as does my life in the Northern Ontario town of Sault Ste. Marie where I lived for six decades. I am a mother and grandmother, retired from the corporate world, and happy to spend time on creative pursuits I had to wedge into my busy life when I was working.

Writing allows me to explore whimsy, serve up penance, and honour those no longer here but always present. When I write, it’s as if someone else is telling my story and it isn’t until the editing process that the memories are refined and the truth comes out. Whether a reader chuckles at my foibles or ugly cries at an emotional passage, it’s validation for me, and for the reader, well maybe they feel less alone.
